Sinful Colors Mint Apple

OOOOOOOOOO...mint apple!! I'll take it!! Greens have been all the rage for a while now it seems and this cheapie is just as gorgeous as the others. Since I am so behind on posting this color is no longer on my fingers but I did do a fresh pedicure with it last week. This color feels so spring-like to me. It has a small hit of shimmer to it and is very easy to apply.

Hitting the Gym

I am mentally back in gym mode so let's see if my body can follow suit. Today was my second day back. Yesterday I did 20 minutes of intervals on the treadmill and a full body workout. I didn't have a set plan going in so today I made sure I did. My routine in the past has been a 5 days of gym and 2 days off. Three days were dedicated to legs and two days arms.

After heading over to ExRx.net my go to resource for looking at different excercises I decided to try one of their workout templates. Here is a 3 Day Split Program that I will try out for 1-2 months. Basically my weekly workout will be ABCAB and then week 2 will be CABCA and week 3 continues with BCABC. You get the drift.

GIVE BLOOD...

It has been so long since I have given blood I am ashamed of myself. One of the threads of a forum I frequent asked members what their blood type is. Everyone chimed in about their blood types and genetics and as I was reading I began to feel really guilty. I used to donate blood once or twice a year at least when I was much younger. There is no excuse I can give for why I stopped so I won't even make one. Their is no excuse for a healthy person with the ability to give blood not to give blood.

After reading through the thread I promptly got on the American Red Cross website to find where I could donate. It is as easy as putting in your zipcode and a list of blood drives in your area come up. For most of them you can make your appointment right online!! My gym is having a blood drive in a few weeks so I scheduled my appointment.

I am excited to start getting back to the old me(that is another story) and giving blood was always something that made me feel like I was helping someone else. If you can give blood please do.

And For the Amazon Konad

I remember when I used to Konad every time I painted my nails. I have learned to appreciate colors on their own so the Konadicure's aren't as frequent. This Konadicure uses plate m60, Creative Nail Design Amazon, and China Glaze OMG.

Konad M60 2-24-10

I can't say enough good things about this plate. This particular design is nice because they break it down and have the little flower that is in the full nail pattern as a separate stamping image.

Thanks for looking!!

From the Depths of the Amazon

Creative Nail Design Amazon

Just what I needed, another green nail polish but for 50 cents it was worth a try. I was perusing the 2/$1 bin at the beauty supply store and came across this. From Creative Nail Design, Amazon is nice shade of green with a subtle shimmer. The picture does show traces of pink but that is just a reflection from the shirt I was wearing (bad photographer!).

Party Like A (Pink) Rockstar!!

Me likey. Pink and glittery. It gets no better than this. Of course I could never wear this to a corporate job (I don't think) but since I work from home I can rock out anytime I want. Sally Hansen X-tremewear polish is a great line for the $2.00 price point. With a lot of fun colors to choose from it is hard for me to see a color I don't have and not pick it up and Rockstar Pink was no exception.

Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink

I usually don't make my pictures this big but I really want you to see this glitter up close and personal. How can you say no to this. I may have on a clear base coat but most likely not but how fun would this be layered over just about any color. Grab a bottle of this and PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR!!

How Much Do I Adore This Color?

China Glaze Adore is a very pretty blue but most likely won't go on my list of favorites. There is nothing bad about this color but for some reason I expected more. I do like this color so I don't want you to think that I don't but to me it is a color that looks better in pictures than in real life.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Neeeettttfliiiiiiiiiiiiiiix

I can't say enough good things about Netflix. Never a problem getting the movies I want. The ability to watch some movies and TV series online. Once I broke a disc in my DVD player and they said no problem. To only have to go to the mailbox it is relatively quick. If I send out on a Monday I will have my new movie on Wednesday.

After the Academy Awards I put the movies in my queue that I haven't seen yet. Apparently everyone did that!!

Sally Hansen Swatches

I picked these up on a 75% off sale so they were about $1.50 each. All very pretty shades. I have only used the Back to the Fuschia on a full manicure but am looking forward to using the others as well. They were all a little streaky on the first coat but the secound covered that up. I am almost 100% sure that there are only 2 coats on each nail.

Season Over

It has been a great ride for my daughter's basketball team. She plays in a rec league and today was the last game. My husband coaches and has so much fun with it and the girls. With a mix of new and seasoned players it wass really nice to see the progression of the girls throughout the season. With only 7 girls on the team they all got their fair share of playing time and each one made great contributions to the team. They only lost one game-- woo hoo!!! What a great season.

Would You Eat This?

This was the crazy carrot I got out of the bag of baby carrots the other day.
I didn't eat it. Is that bad?

Cosmic Plum

If you know anything about me I LOVE duochrome polishes. This won't be the last time I say that (it surely isn't the first). They amaze me and distract me. All I want to do is stare at my nails and move my hands around to capture all of the glorious colors it has to offer. This polish brought my blogging to a grinding halt (I am blaming the polish!). To capture colors of polish correctly is a feat in its own right but then when you have a duochrome to get all of the colors it emits is a freakin' 200 shot task. So I took the pictures and didn't feel like going through all of them so I just didn't. But now I am in full effect and ready to decide what pictures to show you (don't you love how I care if you like my pictures). So I'll be right back with pictures.

Okay I lied, I started this post yesterday and still couldn't decide on the pictures so here is some video. Please don't mind the fact that my nails aren't perfectly smooth. I always go to bed before my nails are dry so I end up with those dumb sheet imprints.

Even in the video it is hard to see but this polish goes to a sandy metallic light tan to a pinkish color. Finally here are the few pics that may show the transition of color a little.

CQ Cosmic Plum CQ Cosmic Plum

The change is more evident in real life of course but you can see the subtle change from the light tan to soft pink. I had a hard time capturing the deeper pink in the photo.

Yummy

I love fruit. I love it. For snack today I grabbed some strawberries and apples. The perfect little finger foods. My nice bowl of fruit was cut in half when I decided my hard working hubby deserved a little refueling as well. And yes what you are seeing is one of those Steamers bowls. I usually save a few to rinse our fruits and veggies in. I also use it to rinse off canned veggies and beans.

At Least I Thought I Was Back

Hey peeps..I'm back. I hope everyone is doing great. Sorry for the hiatus but sometimes a little R&R is a good thing. To bad I didn't get any. Work has been crazy along with playing chaffeur so I had to take care of those things first. I have a bunch of posts coming and hopefully they won't bore you to tears. If they do just let me know and I'll, um...well I'll probably keep boring you...sorry. Anywho, I am sitting here getting back on my blogging horse realizing I missed it more than I thought.

Are You Serious Taco Bell!!

The first time I saw this commercial I had to do a double take. Charles Barkley endorsing Taco Bell. It had to be a joke but it wasn't. Each time I see this commercial I cringe. Why would Taco Bell choose Charles Barkley to promote this product. Watching Barkley squeeze through a phone booth and hobble across my screen with his beer belly poking out of his blazer I need to know what the marketing department was thinking. Yes it is a catchy jingle but looking at Barkley painfully waddle through the commercial is enough to make me swear off Taco Bell for life!!

I'm Baaaa---aaacckkk

Oh, I can't believe it has been a whole week since my last post. It has been kind of hectic over here so the posting came to a halt for a while. I don't really have much to say other than I have missed posting...missed reading the blogs I follow, missed finding new blogs to follow. Hopefully I will have some new and interesting things to share soon enough but this blog is just whatever is on my mind at the moment anyway. Plus I am sure I have many giveaways to post about. I feel so behind..oh well.

BTW Happy March 1st...ugh...where is the year going!!!
